  • A mere nose length gave Spirit of Boom Group 1 success in the 1200m Hacer Group William Reid Stakes on Friday night, beating home a fast finishing Fontelina. The win produced the second Group 1 victory for Eagle Farm-based trainer Tony Gollan who, along with jockey Michael Rodd, experienced a nervous wait for the result to be posted.   Hacer Group is a proud sponsor of this quality horse race, and the opportunity afforded it by the Moonee Valley Racing Club.

  • Hacer Group was invited by project developer, AXF Property, to attend their 'Purchasers & Partners' Function on Thursday 13 February 2014. The intent of the evening was to provide purchasers an opportunity to mingle with fellow residents, and to meet the partners and suppliers for the project.   Hacer Group's CEO, Rob Pitts, attended together with Andy Asker, General Manager Construction, and Matt Andrews, Project Manager for the Imperial Doncaster project. At the conclusion of an informal "on the couch" discussion with MC, Scott Jessop, the presentation of a commemorative shovel was made to AXF's General Manager, Rob Rafaniello, to be used for the official "sod turning".

  • Article by Blair Thomson appearing in the Bendigo Advertiser on Tuesday  19 November 2013:   A $37 million revamp of Lansell Square is a step closer after the appointment of the Hacer Group as builder. The development will see a 4,300 square metre Coles supermarket and 18 specialty stores added to the site, along with additional car parking. Charter Hall development manager Will Green said the appointment was an important milestone for the project.   “Lansell Square is an important centre for Charter Hall and the local area, and through these expansion and redevelopment works, we are committed to creating an even better shopping environment for the local community and creating opportunities for existing and new retail businesses," he said...

  • The Blue September Charity Cup was played Grand Final Eve at McDonnell Park, Northcote.  Played between Hacer Group and their subcontractors, led by Prime Electrical & Data, the game was played in a great spirit, showcasing some surprising talents on both sides. The fitter Subbies team went in early favourites but Hacer’s strength and experience saw them (perhaps) win the game by a mere 3 points. Upon conclusion of the game, the goal umpires were unable to reconcile scores and a draw was agreed, with a return match scheduled for 2014...
  • The keenly anticipated Blue September Charity Cup football game, Hacer Group vs Subbies, featured in the Herald-Sun on Friday 27 September.  Photographed at Hacer Group's Living Carlton Stage 3 site, the opponents took time out to promote the game to be played at McDonnell Park, Northcote commencing at 2pm today.    All funds raised will go to support the Blue September campaign.
  • On 27 September 2013, the Masters Williams Landing project was handed over, a month ahead of contract date, to enable the three month fitout process to commence.   With works commencing on site late January 2013, the Team, under the direction of Project Manager, Matt Hyams, has worked diligently to enable a smooth delivery and handover of a quality building to Developer, Cedar Woods.   Hacer Group is grateful to the ongoing working relationships with both its  subcontractors and the entire Project Team...
  • Team Hacer has signed up to take part in Australia's largest one day bike ride, the Bupa 'Around the Bay' cycling challenge.   While most have spent Sunday mornings snuggly sleeping in, spare a thought for those of the Team who have trained for either the 100km Frankston, or 210km Sorrento, return ride on Sunday 20 October.   We wish Team Hacer's 24 riders every success in this gruelling event, and will be riding every pot hole (safely) from afar.

  • Following his success at the Master Builders Association of Victoria - 2013 State Apprentice of the Year Awards, Hacer Group's Matt Maud was last night announced Winner of the 'Victorian Trainee of the Year'  Award at Crown Palladium.   Matt will now attend the Australian Training Awards to held in Western Australia in November.   Congratulations Matt on this major, and well-deserved, achievement!   Hacer Group - we build careers.

  • The Lilydale Marketplace project, involving the extension of an existing and operational Shopping Centre, achieved Practical Completion and held the offcial opening to the public on Wednesday 31 July, showcasing a Big W store, extension to the existing Woolworths, an ALDI Supermarket, BWS Store and 30 new specialty stores, together with a complete revamp of the existing centre.   Feedback from the Client and all stake holders has been extremly positive, and Hacer Group's management is proud of not only the efforts of its Site and Design Teams, but those of  all consultants and subcontractors involved with this project...
  • Hacer Group has been nominated as Preferred Contractor for the Marne Street Apartments, South Yarra. The project incorporates 8 luxury apartments over four levels, basement car parking and associated landscaping works.   • The Avenue Village Shopping Centre, Cranbourne opened its doors to the public on Wednesday 19 June 2013.  The Centre contains a new Woolworths Store, six tenancies and carparking for 400+ cars.    The Client, Brown Property Group, and Woolworths were delighted with the final look and feel of the Centre, which is a welcome addition for the local community who have watched the project develop over the past nine months.   Hacer Group - We build Retail.
  • From a car yard to a fuel station, to a hole in the ground for 4 years, this site is now the address of 53 one and two bedroom apartments, two ground floor retail tenancies and a two level basement car park.   Hacer Group commenced construction at end of January 2012, received the Occupancy Permit on 24 May, Practical Completion on 28 May and purchasers commenced moving in on 5 June 2013.   The team experienced countless challenges throughout the project, in particular the extent of finishes to the facade, internal stair case design, site access restraints and managing the adjoining neighbours and Council expectations...
  • At the recent Master Builders Association of Victoria - 2013 State Apprentice of the Year Awards, Hacer Group's Matt Maud was announced Winner of the 'Student of the Year - Diploma of Building' from 10 other candidates.   Matt, who has worked with Hacer Group for over 7 years, enrolled to complete a Diploma of Building Construction at Swinburne University, who nominated him for this Award.    Hacer is extremely proud of Matt's achievement, and will continue to support him in his construction role...
  • Practical Completion was achieved on the $35.0 million Polaris, Bundoora project on 25 March 2013.   This mixed-use development consisting of major tenancies Woolworths and Dan Murphy’s, 25 specialty tenancies and 64 residential apartments was completed for Deal Corporation.  
  • Going perfectly to script, Black Caviar stretched her unbeaten run to 24 at Moonee Valley on Friday 22 March in the $400,000 Group 1 Hacer Group William Reid Stakes in front of a Cox Plate-like crowd. In what had been billed as possibly her final start in Victoria, the Peter Moody-trained champion claimed a four-length victory in the 1200-metre event, beating home stable mate Karuta Queen and Fawkner, and equalled Kingston Town’s Australasian record of 14 Group 1 wins with her second William Reid Stakes success...
