@mainfreight Dandenong South. With a footprint of 130,000m², and 66,000m² under roof, the new facility includes a fully automated truck wash, solar farm with battery storage, weighbridges, rainwater treatment facility, 5,000m² of office spaces and 27,000m²of container rated hardstand.
This project is a fantastic example of how industrial facilities can integrate sustainability at scale. A 66,000m² warehouse with a solar farm and battery storage is no small feat—it shows that even energy-intensive operations can reduce their grid dependence significantly. The inclusion of a rainwater treatment facility and automated truck wash also demonstrates a holistic approach to resource management.
