RESPONSIBLE PROCUREMENT & SUPPLY CHAIN

At Hacer we recognise that our operations can have a negative impact on people beyond our business, and that we have a responsibility to avoid causing or contributing to practices that can lead to modern slavery.

Upholding this responsibility means collaborating with our partners and creating change throughout our business to improve transparency across our direct and indirect supply chains.

CLIMATE ADAPTATION, MITIGATION, & RESILIENCE

At Hacer we acknowledge that climate change is one of the most significant global challenges of our time.

To address this challenge, we are exploring the impacts of climate change to the building and construction industry, and how these will affect us so we can better adapt and increase our resilience.

RECONCILIATION

In 2023, Hacer officially commenced our reconciliation journey with a formal endorsement by Reconciliation Australia, of our inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (Reflect RAP).

The Reflect RAP helps us set strong foundations for meaningful long-term engagement and reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples across 3 key dimensions – Relationships, Respect, Opportunities.

SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION

Decarbonising is a key challenge in our industry, and we will continue exploring ways to reduce the use of fossil fuels used during construction.

WYVERN PRIVATE HOSPITAL

Wyvern Private Hospital won the Excellence in Sustainability award at The Urban Developer Awards for Industry Excellence - 2025.

Wyvern Private Hospital stands as a shining example of sustainability in healthcare design, with its seamless integration of the natural landscape, commitment to the WELL Gold rating, and long-term biodiversity protections covering over a third of the site. The hospital brings a vision of care that extends beyond patients - embracing place, nature, and community.

NIGHTINGALE VILLAGE

We’re prioritising partnerships with clients who focus on sustainability – like Nightingale.

Nightingale Village consists of six individual projects combined into 1 development, and incorporates energy-efficient and sustainable design principles across the site and in each building.

BURWOOD BRICKWORKS SHOPPING CENTRE

Branded as the ‘world’s most sustainable shopping centre’, Burwood Brickworks proudly sits in Green Star’s ‘world leadership’ category.

And in 2020, it won the Master Builders Victoria Excellence in Construction Awards for the Best Sustainable Project.
