Hacer Group’s Reflect RAP: Our commitment to reconciliation

Updated: Sep 27, 2023

Hacer Group is proud to announce that Reconciliation Australia has formally endorsed our inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

A key milestone in our 23-year history, our Reflect RAP is designed to help us discover the processes, tools and knowledge to create a positive work environment for First Nations people – and to guide us in contributing towards true reconciliation.

Hacer lives by the values of strong relationships and sustainable growth – two philosophies that align deeply with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

As we work to become a more inclusive and diverse organisation, it will help us understand the needs of our community and stakeholders – and foster stronger relationships and outcomes for all.

Our Reflect RAP is underpinned by the following four pillars:

1. Relationships: We look to establish, strengthen and celebrate our connections to First Nations Peoples and businesses with a strong commitment to listen and learn.

2. Respect: We commit to working with the communities – and our employees – to learn and embrace Indigenous culture, history and rights.

3. Opportunities: We seek to understand and implement the best ways to recruit, retain and professionally develop any interested First Nation Peoples.

4. Governance: We commit to frequently revising and reshaping our Reflect RAP with full transparency of our implementation and growth. Reconciliation Australia believes this RAP is a strong foundation for us to build on. We’re excited and proud to be making a meaningful contribution to reconciliation in Australia.
